Project Miami: Bring PlantCon to your city!

While PlantCon Orlando was regarded as an overwhelming success for Exhibitors, Sponsors, and Attendees alike, the ticket sales that we rely on as our primary fundraising source fell deeply short. This left us far in the red, and uneasy about returning to Florida.

We planned to make a quiet exit and phase Florida out from our roadmap, but the demand for us to come back has been loud and clear. And... wow. Our Florida folks have not allowed us to go quietly. What an honor to be so welcomed, and to discover the high regard for our work. The love and appreciation expressed for PlantCon is incredibly humbling, and the passion for keeping PlantCon in Florida is a true honor.

Our team is a small group of people in their 20’s with a dream to join our plant community around the world. The hard part that no one tells you is that there are barriers every step of the way.

This is the first time in our history allowing you to make the decision of where we go next! Our goal is to raise $100,000 for PlantCon Miami by 03/15/26 so we can find and secure a venue, start the planning process, and launch marketing for a PlantCon in Miami.

    Our goal is to raise $100,000 for the city of your choice by 03/15/26 so we can find and secure a venue, start the planning process, and launch marketing.

  • Aside from bringing PlantCon to your city and helping us throw the biggest plant party in the nation for YOUR community, our backers will receive the biggest discounts ever offered on admission tickets!

    You can also help us get sponsors and exhibitors that you think are a great fit for PlantCon and that you’d like to see at the show.

    We usually decide for ourselves where we’re taking PlantCon, but this way, the power is in YOUR hands!

  • A kickstarter is a no-risk way to raise funding for a project by pre-selling products. This fundraising format is heavily utilized by small, indie companies that need crowdfunding to get a product off the ground because they do not have access to investor funding or venture capital. 

    It’s different from typical fundraisers or GoFundMe’s because it is NOT just a donation. Instead, supporters are pre-purchasing a full product, good, or service far in advance of its production to show their support and belief in a vision, rather than donating for nothing in return. 

    Sometimes, companies will pre-sell a concept of a product years in advance, offering discounts or special edition versions of a product in return for the early investment and support of “backers”, or supporters. The money raised allows them to continue designing the product, eventually producing it, and finally shipping and fulfilling pre-orders.

  • Everyone is fully refunded 100% of their money if a project fails to reach its goal amount by the deadline. There is no risk to pitching your support early.

  • Our team will launch our event planning process in your city, starting with venue searching! Dates will be determined based on a variety of factors, including venue availability. If the dates and details that we land on don’t work for you, simply request a full refund, no questions asked!
