Through approachable videos, elevated visuals, and proven plant care guidance, she simplifies the care of houseplants and creates a space where beginners and enthusiasts feel welcome and can grow with ease.

I grew up watching PBS Kids and all kinds of nature documentaries and started making my own videos in 2002. As an adult with CPTSD, I got into houseplants and found that growing plants was a great way to ground myself and find peace in the present moment. After falling down a rabbit hole of psychology and biochemistry, I've started creating content to spread my love of learning and help people rediscover their sense of wonder with plants.

Ariel Phoebe is the creator behind @growingngrowing, a plant-filled corner of the internet where she shares her love for houseplants, the lessons they teach us, and the joy of growing alongside them. Through approachable tips and honest experiences, she hopes to help others feel more confident in their plant journey and find connection through caring for something living.

Terry Richardson, a.k.a. The Black Thumb, developed a passion for orchids after rescuing his first orchid, “Penelope,” from the dumpster at their apartment complex in 2018. Penelope was in rough shape initially, but she bloomed after 18 months of care. Since then, Terry has helped others discover the joys of orchid growing through his social media platforms. Terry has been featured in the LA Times as well as on numerous gardening podcasts including Gardening with The RHS, Cultivating Place, and On the Ledge Podcast. Terry was most recently featured in the “More Than A Flower: The Collective Power of Orchids” exhibit at The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.

Patrick and Tiffany are the husband and wife duo behind “The Plant and The Pour”, a growing online community that helps people grow thriving indoor jungles. Their journey started after purchasing their first monstera at a garage sale. A few years later, that single plant has turned into a home filled with over 200 rare tropical houseplants and a shared mission to make plant care simple, approachable, and fun. When Patrick first started learning about plant care, he discovered a world of confusing, conflicting advice that made him feel like he was constantly doing it wrong. So he leaned into curiosity, trial, and error, documenting what worked, what didn’t, and what those lessons revealed about patience, failure, and starting over. Today, they create educational content for plant lovers worldwide. Through humor, honesty, and a fair share of mistakes, they remind people that growth, like plant care, isn’t about perfection, it’s about learning to nurture through the messy parts.
